Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates

We are excited to announce that we are now operating at FULL CAPACITY! We hope you have all stayed safe during these last few months and will continue to do so.

While we are re-opening at full capacity, much will be different. Since we operate out of a Miami-Dade County facility, we must follow their guidelines in order to remain in good standing. We are now in Phase 3 but may need to revert to Phase 1/2 based on guidelines and recommendations of local, state, and federal agencies.

Please read the protocol that all athletes and their parent/legal guardian must follow during Phase 3:

  1. All athletes must have the ASC Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Other Communicable Illnesses waiver on file (below)

      1. Please sign electronically via Adobe (or print, sign, and scan) and email the completed form to asc_adm@hotmail.com. There will not be any paper forms available at the pool.

  2. Athletes are asked to arrive to the pool in their swimsuit and with a face mask no more than 5 minutes prior to their practice time.

    1. Bathroom use before, during, or after practice remains limited to emergencies.

  3. Athletes are asked to bring their own equipment (e.g., water bottle, kick board, pull buoy, etc.)

    1. There will be NO equipment to borrow/share.

    2. Water fountain use will be limited.

  4. Parent(s)/Legal guardian(s) are allowed to remain on deck during the practice session but must wear a mask.

    1. Athletes and/or the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) that drop off may be asked the following questions by staff prior to entering the pool:

    1. Have you been ill with fever, chills, cough, or body aches in the past 14 days?

    2. Has anyone in your household had these symptoms in the past 14 days?

    3. Have you or anyone in your household traveled internationally in the last 14 days?

    4. Have you or anyone in your household traveled to a location in the United States where an increased incidence of COVID–19 has been reported in the last 14 days?

    5. Have you been told by a healthcare provider that you should self-quarantine due to a potential COVID–19 exposure or are you suspected of having COVID–19?

    6. Have you or anyone in your household been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

  5. If an athlete and/or their parent/legal guardian answers YES to any of the above questions, they will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days and be cleared for training by a physician prior to returning to practice.

  6. Athletes and coaches will maintain a distance of at least SIX (6) feet at all times.

  7. Athletes are asked to leave the pool immediately after practice to avoid contact with those attending the following session.

If an athlete and/or parent(s)/legal guardian(s) is unable to comply with any of the protocols listed above and those being enforced by Miami-Dade County, they will not be allowed to return.

All swimmers are required to have the ASC Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Other Communicable Illnesses waiver signed.
